It's Too Soon to Quit

Updated: Mar 10, 2022

She died, and I didn’t know what to do. So I quit for awhile. That’s what happened when a dear friend and colleague that ran my former blog site passed away. Jan was a wonderful woman that encouraged me to write, and helped get my first blog started. When she died after a brief illness in 2021, she took a wealth of wisdom and knowledge with her. My blog died, too.

I didn’t realize that I needed to renew the site annually, and when the renewal came due it was sent to Jan. I didn’t know about it, and my domain was bought by someone else. Someone else actually wanted to be me, or sell my identity out there on the dark web. (Poor fool.) Now, not only was my friend gone, so was my blog site. What could I do?

First, I quit. I didn’t think I could do anything beyond that. After wallowing briefly in self-pity and frustration, I started to reach out again. I have wonderful friends that are intelligent and wise. I like to surround myself with wisdom, first from God Himself, and then with His children on earth. God gave me another friend, a good one, and he helped me. Not only did Barry help me restart my blog site, he made it better. It’s a totally new site, but it can be linked into other pages. Barry is teaching me out of his knowledge, and I am grateful. I’m also grateful to stand up again, to blog, to share, and to hear from you.

Where have you quit? What made you give up? In your personal life? In standing for God, or our nation?

Who are your friends? You may have lost someone dear to you, but who is God bringing into your life that is fresh and vibrant?

What does God want you to do? It’s too soon to quit. You have to get up again. Proverbs 24:16 says that “the godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.” (New Living Translation)

I don’t want to be associated with the wicked. I want to get up and keep on going until Christ returns. For myself. For my family. For my friends. For America. So, the blog is back up! Thank you Barry. Thank you Lord! And for those of you that put up with my thoughts, welcome back! You can find me now on www.steven-grant.com and look at the new site. Here we go!
